Over a year ago I got a warning ticket at Murrell's Inlet SC for not wearing the kill switch lanyard. They said it was a big problem and they are going to start giving tickets, so are now giving warnings just to get the word out. Wonder how that works when your boat/motor doesn't have a kill...

Hey Marine, I used to have that setup, but not very long. I think there's a cover over them. Should be able to remove the cover and see how they are tied down, probably just a couple of tabs w/ bolts. Get those out, disconnect fuel lines and they "should" come right out. But don't quote me...

4k rpms is around cruise speed on 4 stroke. Wrong prop as you suggested, or, if it had been running faster, it could be a number of things including dirty bottom of hull, or possibly the shift linkage needs proper adjustment? Basically need more info - did it just start doing this behavior...
