    My 1994 V21

Even with the non-pristine stickers, it’s a great looking boat.

I don’t think that’s his plan, but as you say, we shall see.

We’re in the breaking eggs to make the omelette stage. With our national debt service now exceeding our national defense budget as only one example of the huge mess we’re in, radical action is needed. The vast majority of people not having the faintest knowledge of negotiation more than...

    6 hot female astronauts

My wife and I laughed about that too Step. Pretty hard to miss the resemblance 🤣😝. Not astronaughts, but looking at the crowd watching the historic, epic event, definitely a bunch of space cadets🤪

I joined 20 years ago, this July, so 12 years ago’s not the first post. I think MJ was the admin then, at least he was the first, or nearly the first, to respond to my first post.

Right on Step. SpareParts recommended that to me ages ago when I was getting mine going, and said to buy the good USCG approved fuel line - itt lasts. Also, the fuel filter, which also catches water could be holding a fair amount of water. Something else I haven’t noticed mentioned is the heat...

Brought the 75 home (started) - cleaning up nice

It should kick over with carb primed, but with starting fluid leaking out, there’s a vacuum leak that won’t let it run. Sounds like you’re on the right track. I don’t recall if you got how important it is to replace the outdrive impeller and be sure there’s water running through the outdrive...

New to V-20s - opportunity to pick one up for next to nothing. (Merc 165 I/O) Thoughts?

Spare, are you concerned about ingesting chunks of rubber impeller? I didn’t change mine for way too long and clogged the cooling passage in the outdrive - finally figured out why it was overheating.

Hmmm - That sounds really good! Some fishin’, shootin’ (maybe some wild meat), maybe some chainsaw exhaust or sawdust smell and no technology. Ahhhhhh 😎👍

    Bow rail Why ?

That’s the difference - I do it all standing in the cuddy. Thanks

    Bow rail Why ?

Dmoore, why is that a mistake? I cut mine out and haven’t had a problem. It may be that I removed the sliding hatch rails and stow the hatch in a rack on the cuddy overhead when I’m doing anchor work, so there’s no hatch in the way?

I think China’s more likely to go after Taiwan, but that might not be to far from a war with us anyway. You’re sure right about it being dangerous times. I don’t think we want China TOO desperate and that’s looking pretty close to where Xi is right now (assuming he’s still in control).

We can turn our boats very quickly, a huge ship takes a lot longer. Our economy and the mess we’re in is huge. I’m hopeful that the apology holds. I understand your concern, but given the scale of what he’s dealing with, it’s early days.
