    East Wind Jinx

Had the whole day to fish today. High tide was at 9:30 AM, plenty of time to get my son off to school and leave the little one with momma. Got some bait and a tip for a honey hole for fluke on the Long Island Side of the pond! I was excited ! I packed a lunch and grabbed the poles. I drove the...

    July 3rd with the Family

Hit the water today just as the pageant of holiday warriors was heading out. Our time was limited so we dragged a tube and worm around a favorite rockpile. In an hour we missed one and landed this healthy 27" almost keeper. Check out my little one looking into the fish's mouth !!

Hit the Long Island Sound this morning at 0530 with some bunker chunks. I was sitting off of Playland which is an amusement park in Rye, NY. I could see the Manhatten skyline as I baited my rigs. Here are the two stripers that took my bait this morning. I even tied into this nice...

    New Power is Powerful !!!

Fellow propnuts, Today I took out the 88 Steplift with her new power plant hooked to the rear. The first hour at half throttle on the 05 Yamaha 150 seemed to last forever. Then as the hour meter hit " 1 " I was allowed to take her up to 4000 RPM. WOW !! 4000 RPM = 35 MPH!! I can only...

    1988 Yamaha 130

I just bought a new 150 and my old engine is in need of mechanical work. I think it needs a head gasket possibly. I am willing to part with it, to someone who is mechanically inclined for $400. This is not an attempt to make money on someone but rather an attempt to hook someone up with an...

    New Power

Looks like I am pulling the trigger on a new outboard. I found a leftover 03 Yamaha 150, carbed for $7500 plus installation. It was inevitable and I am basically happy this happened. I just hate to drop 8500 when I paid 8000 for the boat motor and trailer,,,,,, well ok, ,, ten years ago...

More yamaha drama,, input needed !!

I apologize for this but please bear with me. I got my boat ready for the water this year, I have a 1988 Yamaha 130 outboard hanging off of it. I changed the gear oil, plugs and stats. During the thermostat change I snapped a bolt and had to drill it out and ended up tapping it short and using a...

    Snapped Bolt ... FIXED !!!

OK,, in my efforts to be a better boat owner ( brought about by the fine folks here at V20.com ) I decided to change out my thermostats on my 1988 Yamaha 130 for the first time in 8 years. Well,,,, as you can guess 7 of the 8 bolts came loose but good old number 8 snapped right off.  I am...
