Don’t be afraid of it.

I’m talking about fiberglass work. I repaired my rod boxes with fiberglass. The parts that were cracked and had holes. I don’t know if I did it right but it sure looks good. I don5 know how to post pictures of it bu5 if I did you would be giving me a thumb# up
This is what I did. 4 oz of resin,,,,,40 drops of hardener. Mix good and spread it over the spot ,over lapping the damage then let down a glass Matt. Pieces of it they recommended. I don’t know if it matters. Spread more resin over 5he Matt till it# clear. Smooth i5 out and that’s it. Done. Finished. Easy peasy. Then paint.

Blue, wear gloves, I didn’t but you should. The clear liquid hardner is what I used. The resin calls for 10 drops for 1 oz of hardner. I cut up the glass Matt in 1 inch strips but I don’t think that is very important. Just mix the resin in a bowl spread it on with a cheap brush. Lay the Matt and cover it with the resin using a brush. It’s really easy. I got the brush, measuring cup and bowl at the dollar tree. But if you can get it cheaper. Then go for it. You are going to throw all of it out when done. And the paints? I used 2XX from Walmart ,it says it good for plastics and it is. Goes on easy and looks good too. It’s easy. Trust me. I would remove the wood rod holders that attach to the box. That makes painting much easier.
