Raising Transom

so I raised my transom to 25inch do I have to raise the stingers also for the engine bolts? and if so how many inches psa this is my first restore ever

Depends on how u raised the trsnsom. If u just added 5 inches to existing transom, u would probably need to add “knees” to tie all that together. If u replaced all the transom with a new 25” transom, i would think it would be OK.

The stringers are actually cut down at an angle as they near the transom so the splashwell that is also angled down kinda lays on top of those stringers. Definitely post some pictures. I wrote all that, not sure the year, this is true of 80’s models in any case
