ever break hooks on Spro jigs?

I bought a bunch of these on sale at Dick's last summer. I'm pretty sure I broke the hook on 2 of them last year and I just broke 2 last week... It like adding insult to injury when, instead of breaking the line and losing a $4 jig, you real it up and have to cut it off and throw away a $4 jig...

Bait everywhere so we snagged a few, went out to 60 ft and let em swim. My brother thinks he had one plucked off real quick but can't really be sure. I had a jig...

I've been doodling designs for new gunnel boxes for years. Finally stopped thinking and started DOing. Got a big piece of 1/2" Starboard and went to work. The design went through many variations including hinged doors, tackle drawers, sliding doors...I settled on a starboard frame with one...

    Pompano Beach trip

We took a flight down to FLL in search of some swordfishing. My brother keeps his 29 Aquasport in Pompano. Well, we brought a cold front with us. 80 degrees when we landed, 46 degrees when we left. First night we couldn't get it together for swording so we dropped on the reef for some snapper...

    Birthday cod

My brother got a 27" cod today. I had the first one on a jig while we came back on the anchor, but got excited, didn't wait for the net, and it fell off at the rail. Yes, my birthday cod got away! That was the target species for the day and the first cod for the SkunkBoat, so we are...

    poor man's outrigger

I've never been one to troll much but I started making long runs for tuna and mahi. I needed a way to spread some lines. I used a 12ft paint roller extention with a rigger clip tied to the end. Stuck it in an angled rodholder. Worked better than my first try, a 10 ft surf rod with a clip.

    V20 Tuna!

Success!!!!:sun: Forecast was spot on...We got out the inlet a little late and got to the Glory Hole/Princess just before 7AM. There were quite a few boats out there but not too bad because there was a shark tournament going on that kept a lot of boats busy elsewhere. We got our bite at 8:30...
