Redoing my transom on a 75' V20 I need a new ( used ) motor. I was wondering if I should close up the Transom to accept a 25" motor. I don't know which motors in the 175 hp range are more common, 20" or 25"? Thanks for any input.

I am about to cut the outer skin about 3" in from the outside edge of the Transom alll around on my 75' V20 so I san repair stringers and replace wood. My question is, what is the proper way to join the piece of skin back to the new wood? How do I join the glass at the joint where I cut it? not...
