    Windshield rubber

Has anyone replaced all the rubber gaskets on their windshield? If so, where did you find replacement material? Does anyone have images of what gaskets are on the windshield door? Something near my 1977 vintage. Thanks!

    Finally...

Got my daughter settled in and doing her work, got the last few parts to finish up the boat, the wife and I are heading out on Saturday to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for 8 days. First vacation for the two of us without kids since 2002. A weeks worth of jerk, Red Stripe, Appleton Estates and beaches of...

    And now...

Some crackhead in Vegas stole my identity! Evidently I've spent several thousands of dollars on Victoria Secret underwear and Coach purses. At least the b*^*h could have sent me some photos so I can see what I bought. Sheesh, I didn't think this month could get any worse...

    I know it's not me...

But just got home from taking my daughter to a treatment center in central Tennessee. Our biological daughter passed in 2009, and was nine years old. The one we have is adopted and 19. None of this is her fault, it's how she was raised, what she saw, how she was treated. She's got a good home...

    Drop Shot rig for Perch

I know this is a bit of a stretch for here, seems that there's WAAAY more salties here than us inland seas guys. What's your rig for yellow perch? Spreaders, crappie rig, pike rig? I'm really interested to know if anyone is using a drop shot rig with the hooks directly on the line. Whats your...

Yes or no? Mechanical or hydraulic? Or self adjusting? Are they really worth the money on an outboard or IO setup?

Battery Boxes: What Do You Use?

My 1977 V20 only came with one battery connection. I want to add a second, and get them into a battery box(es). My idea is a single tall 8D box (holding 2 batteries) that straddles the bilge sump. I was thinking this, rather that 2 separate boxes in either corner of the stern to save on extra...

    Windshield Rubber?

I am making the assumption that, at one time, there was a rubber seal between the windshield and the deck. I'm also thinking that there was something that acted as a seal around the center opening. Finally, the visible rubber "seal" that seats in the channel around the windows on the exterior...

    Lead Additives for Older Outboards?

So, my 1971 1350 Merc was built before unleaded fuel became the standard, not just an anomaly. It was seriously before ethanol additives as well. For all my older engines, I've sought out ethanol free fuel and use it religiously. I also like sta-bil. What about adding lead back into the fuel as...

    rb437, Thanks!

Got to meet rb437 on Saturday when I went to pick up the Bimini he was offering for sale. Nice member, very helpful. Also has a couple of nice, smaller boats. Hey, I'm sorry I couldn't take you up on a tour and lunch. Hopefully when I'm back at my friend's home in Frederick, I can check it out...

    Sliding hatch question

So...the hatch just "popped" off the hatchway when I slid it closed. I don't see any way that it was held in, aside from having the teak rail overlap the lip of the hatch. Does anyone have a better explanation and some close up photos? 1977 vintage.
