Progress today: my aft deck will be 1" higher than any others because I got the big Zuke. They have not built one with this heavy motor yet.

Everything is there, including three good galvanized anchors and line. The largest of which has 300' of 1/2'.

Thank you. Looking into it. BTW I have a complete custom made, hand fitted blue boat cover I had made when the boat was new. VERY lightly used. Was a bit of a pain to install when the boat was hanging from davits. Shipping if needed is on you. A small donation to the new boat cause would not be...

I would have loved to keep mine indoors the last 30yrs but no room for that. The next best thing was hanging her on davits in my backyard, flip a switch, then turn the key and were off. No trailering hassles, boat ramp fiascos, submerged vehicles. But the south Fl sun takes a toll.

Plantation Fl. About 10 miles north and west of Dania. I have no kids (probably why I am buying my second new boat, LOL), and any close friends I have into boating already have there own. So it would be nice if there was someone with the skills to resurrect her, or someone restoring there own...

Anyone who wants a free 1996 V21 Steplift for parts or restoration come and get it. Bring a trailer and that's it, it's yours. I will drive it down to the boat ramp and you can drive it away from there. Solid transom, good 200hp Evinrude, anchor and 300ft 1/2 line. Plus a small stern anchor...

This will be the second time in my life. I tend to keep things a long time. So I learned when I wanted a new car I came home one night and proclaimed out loud: "This is the longest I have ever lived in the same house, had the same job, been with the same woman, and driven the same car...

OK, you asked for it. This is my hull as it popped from the mold this morning 1 hour before I wrote the check. I could have had a White hull about 1 month from completion, but I put the wife in charge of cosmetics and me in charge of mechanical bits. So she chose a light grey hull and there just...

I was quite shocked. I was prepared to spend maybe 20-25,000 for all the structural and paint, plus engine and electronics. I put a deposit on a Dusky 227 V XF this morning. The hull had just popped out of the mold an hour before my arrival. Another great boat, but not the same comfort level...

The general breakdown was for repairing the deck, inspecting the substructure, replacing the interior cabin flooring and removable bulkhead, cuddy cabin ceiling/upper decking due to slight de-lamination, paint entire hull, modify console for new electronics. It did not include the engine...

Whoops! Plans have changed. Got the estimate for all the repair work needed and it just doesn't make financial sense. Labor rates these days are outrageous. In ten years when I can no longer get out on the water the boat will be 40 and there's no way I would recoup even a fraction of what I...

Will take a photo and post it for you. Most power checkers (mechanical types) just check for "X" amount (read that as Large amount) over or under charge or complete miss. With this you can develop an "Eye" for what looks right inside the cartridge. IOW's, if a properly charged 9mm casing is 70%...

That is interesting. I already have done something similar on my reloading bench with a WIFI camera that allows me to look into cartridges as they move out from the powder dispenser on my progressive press. I'm going to need another IPAD! LOL

From what I have found: AI generated: "A 1996 Evinrude 200 HP outboard, likely a V6 carbureted model, typically weighs around 450 to 455 pounds, with some sources citing 450 lbs as per the service manual and others listing 455 lbs, representing its dry weight. My 96 V21 is turning 30 this year and for her birthday I plan on major overhaul bow to stern. I have plans already for some items but I'm sure there are ideas out there I have not thought of. Please share. A little about my boat and the plans: Never stored indoors, always hung from davits its...
