Is anyone else amazed at how many people are on SNAP? I think it was Lindsey Graham who proposed that congresspersons not be paid during the shutdown. It was never allowed to advance. Interestingly, income tax never stopped being deducted from my pay . . .

It's a heck of a weather system. It was 33 degrees at my house this morning. We had a Gale Warning yesterday afternoon and last night. The wind was howling. It felt like a tropical storm.

A Continuing Resolution bill. It keeps the government operating when there isn't an appropriations bill, usually keeping funding at the previous year's level.

Interesting take. Republicans voted repeatedly to fund the government, including paying the troops and air traffic controllers and funding SNAP. Democrats repeatedly voted against the CR because they wanted to maintain their "leverage."

I hear you. It's a weird time of year here for keeping a boat clean. Unless I'm diligent a little green appears here and there, around the dash switches and such especially, on the star board (plastic) surfaces. It can take some effort to get rid of it.

It's back up. Hopefully for good. Still, if anyone has an app to suggest I'm interested.

For years I have used a website called saltwatertides dot com for the most accurate tide forecasts. It was very accurate and useful for precise locations. In fact, I used it just a few days ago. But this morning both my computer and my iphone are telling me it's potentially not safe...

Agree with this 100%. When you mentioned Irate4X4 I initially thought you had misspelled Pirate4x4 and thought you might have been into Land Cruisers and other Toyota 4x4s. That site is wicked! I've been a member for years on another one: IH8MUD.com. It's a great site for Toyota enthusiasts...

Amen. We've been cleaning out old stuff and some of it we've been selling on marketplace. Sold two items for $80 in the past 3 days. It's better than throwing it away!
