As little as I use my trailers, the tires always end up with dry rot before they're even close to wearing out. The boat trailer sits outside exposed to all weather conditions. Would the tires not dry rot if the trailer was jacked up so that they weren't on the ground?

Are most newer boats in the 20 foot range set up with 2 batteries? Having had the Pipe Dream for so long with its 2-battery setup I was just wondering if that's still the most common arrangement.

Got out for a run Saturday. Engine serviced, new Sea Star, bottom paint. Good to go!
