I bought my 1988 V20 fisherman center console about 8 months ago. It came with a 2004 Honda 225hp motor. The prop is a SS FOUR blade 14 1/4" by 17. Wide open it goes 44mph (GPS) and is turning at 5500 rpm. Seems to me that it should do better than that. Get about 3 mpg. Any comments or tips...

I just bought a 1988 V20 Fisherman Center Console. Where can I buy the boxes that go under the 2 lids near the transom of this boat? I opened the lids (hatches) up, and there was just a rectangular hole there. My previous boat had these plastic (nylon?) boxes that could be lifted out. thanks, Jack
