First thing i will mention is the compression is a bit low. I planned on re ringing the carbs this off season. second thing ill mention is its been tough starting on the first start all season (due to the compression i assume) third thing is the boats been sitting for about a month and a half due to the terrible weather around here and my work schedule.

Ive tried starting it today until the battery died on me . it would just keep crankin. it tried to start once and stalled and as my luck would have it the battery wouldnt turn it anymore after that. im charging the battery tonight and going back at it in the morning is there anything i should try to make this thing fire up?

any and all help would be appreciated

I think that motor had pretty low compression out of the box ..90's if I remember right. I would be looking at the choke(enrichener) and fuel system. Make sure the shrader valve .. red pointer is right. Can mix up some pre mix in a spray bottle and see if that fires her off. Do not use starting fluid.

Carbs may need to be pulled and cleaned. What are your current compression numbers? If you get her fired off I like berryman's b-12 sold at walmart one can of this run through a 6 gallon tank will most often clean the carb(s).
