2012 Barnegat Bay Raft Up

Please explain.

Do you mean take the bikes down?

Or you are thinking of a vehicle and maybe you fart too much and my wife wouldn't be able to stand it?

rkc
I'm not the gassy one. That would be MJ. He laid something down in my truck this past winter that took me three days to get rid of the odor.
Bikes or Cage, don't matter to me.

Oh great the Harley Boys are coming!

Where you guys going to stick your fishing poles?
Never mind I don,t want to know

Not sure if you NE boys remember the dialogue from last year but if you are looking to do the trip on the cheap my family stays at a campground for the weekend that is right there on the bay....they have cabins for rent (large and small) as well as tent sites....We will be there again this year....going to leave the dog at home (as much as he wanted to hang on lumbers boat again) because he really put a cramp in our ability for hanging out other than on the boat. Its called Cedar Creek Camp Ground in Bayville. I think it would be a blast if we could everybody together in the same spot for some drinking and no driving.

After readin' this and page 8, I might hafta run out to the storage room and count my tent stakes...:head:

Rob..is there a good SHOWER at the campground??...

Newphi is always welcome on my boat...

Still considering....

Spoke with the CFO, she wants to go but that was before I saw the price of the nearby hotels etc (150 a night at red roof!) We wouldn't be able to camp, the cabins are also about the same price of an hotel but looks nice. We would need to being our own bedding, so that would rule out the bike if we went to the campground. But her ford escape has good MPG on the highway.

Then we would need to find someone kind enough to take both myself and wife (she would want to be in the same boat as me)...btw, the wife is probably better company than myself...

Another thing is that we already have a two week vaca in August, riding the bike down to TN through the blue ridge. Which could "complicate" financial and dig sitting plans...

CB, I remembered there was a flatulence issue, just didn't remember the details...

I assume most launch around Toms River?

My offer still goes.. as long as I can get the boat ready in time, etc. I still cannot promise anything at this time, but I'm working on it.

There are a ton of launch sites available. Lanoka Harbor or Forked River would be my two guesses for most people.

It also gets hot on that water for a dog, and a little dangerous going back and forth on boats.
I was worried about it the whole time.
Beautiful dog.

He will be blaming me for that!! But he is no rose either!! I want to go but not sure I will be healthy enough?? It will be a last min decision for me :head: But if I do go rkc you can drive with us, as I have a full 4 door Silverado plenty of room!

Just about a month to go. And almost a month since the last post. I'm going to take Thursday and Friday before the raft up off. If anyone wants to do some fishing or plan a trip with the boats to AC or NYC or whatever. We went to Tice's last weekend for the first time this year. I have a feeling there will be more boats there this year because they closed down the F cove.

Pete, planning on being down there Thursday morning. Going to catch all your Fluke and sea Bass, and try some clammin, hope it is better than last year, cause it sucked.
Still not sure of sleeping camping and boat arrangements yet, but will start looking in the next week or so.

Lots of f-covers have been going to Silver Bay so I'm told. Hopefully Tices is too far for many of them. Nice choice of beer BTW.

I think your right Brad. also a lot of people are going to treasure island. That Magic Hat is some good stuff. Thank you for introducing me to that wonderful brew.
