30 bass Sunday, 20 this morning

got out at daybreak Sunday, solo (friends hung over & didn't show. I hate that!). Wasted an hour near Manasquan Inlet then ran down to Seaside Park. Slow pickins out in 40' to 60' with a 15 lb keeper before noon then I caught a big blue so decided to run into the beach.
Found a nice little rip at the north end of Island Beach. Started a drift in 25' towards the beach. Caught a bass on EVERY drop for an hour and a half drifting the exact same drift. Mostly 18" to 26" but several keeper size. One was 36" released. Jigging black tailed A47.
Went this morning with the previous day's no-shows. Ran through some bunker in Mantoloking, snagged a few, no bites. Continued down to Island Beach. Started slow got 6 on jigs in first 2 hours but they were there. Had 2 bites on live bunker but the little bass couldn't find the hook.
Tried different depths and 30' seemed to be the best zone. at 9am I found em in 30' and it was a steady bite for 30 miniutes. Took 4 keepers. Had to be at work at noon.

Definitely worth the 25 minute ride.:sun:

I think I saw a yellow V20 (Brielly?) early. Did you get into them?

That was me. I saw you out there. I got one short in the boat. I had a few big ones on but they kept falling off the hook before I could get them close enough. I ended up in 60-70 feet of water. I should of kept in close. I was supposed to be at work for 7:30 but I ended up making it a half day and got in around noon. I might get out again on Wed.

looking like rain wind waves midweek. NW wind Friday should make things nice Sat AM. coming down to the wire on this season. gonna cram in as many good weather trips as possible thru Thanksgiving and then wrap it up

Stripers

Nice going guy's, we got the SKUNK Boat on Sunday, but it was just beautiful out there.

My son and I squeezed in some late fishing this past Sunday...... ran down the beach all the way from Belmar to Seaside too.

Started fishing around 2:30pm, but put three keepers in the box before 4:00.
Released a couple of shorts, and 3 big blues.

The fish were scattered a bit by the time we fished, so I trolled to maximize coverage.
All fish on the shad umbrella, wire outfit, 50 - 65' depths. Had one double header.

A nice run back just before dark. Figure we logged at least 40 miles round trip in the V21.
Seas were 2'-4' so cruised up at 20-23mph, back slightly faster with following seas.

What a great time of the year to fish ! Heard from friend today - Del Bay chunking is on.
