86 rude 120

There rated up to 6000 RPM's, but I would try and prop it to 5500-5600 WOT with a moderate load. It uses small carbs that will run out of steam pretty early on. Same engine as a 140 with a differrent exhaust tuner and carbs.

The 120 will have NO problems plaining out a V-20 if propped correctly. I would say a 15 pitch stainless prop in a 13 1/2" diameter would do the job nicely for a starter, but you may end up having it repitched to a 16(I think the 17 would make it struggle to plane though).

Keep...if you need a prop I think I have a 15 and a 17 lying around in Alum. Would be willing to lend them to you for testing. :head:

thanks

the motor has a prop on it i wanted to see what will be the best for that motor because i feel like a 120 might be underpowered i appreciate it thow. i dont get alot of time to take the boat out the army keeps me busy but when i do i want to enjoy it and not worry about anything
