Got a 200 suzuki with a 25" lower unit on the 20 I just bought.  Not sure what year it is.  Guy said it was running great last summer, but he lost a cylinder and it needs to be reworked. A good mechanic can have it running for somewhere between 1800 and 2800 bucks.  Everything on it seems to be in good shape.  Will post pics later. I have a 150 yami off my old Mako I'm putting on it so the zookies gotta go.

Re: Suzuki 200 w/25" lower - mid to late 90's

When the sun comes out I'll get your info and post it. Snatched my tank yesterday. It's in great shape but after the pull I put on it, I will have it pressure tested before the re-install. Got a recommended cleaner for the tank? Zink Chromate primer?

Re: Suzuki 200 w/25" lower - mid to late

Here he is. I'm in the process of removing this engine so a plastic cover for some wiring is not on the engine. Wiring looks good. One trim motor has a little rust on it and around the exhaust has some corrosion. The cylinders are smooth. This boat had been taken very well care of and I would assume he did so with the engine as well. There is also all the gauges and controles that will go with it. I have done nothing to this engine to clean it up for photo's.

I'm thinking $1200 for the whole gig. However, I need the hydraulic steering and the prop. Here's my cell if you would like to talk.

Thanks,
Tal Willis

Re: Suzuki 200 w/25" lower - mid to late 90's

That one is a 97. The SUZUKI V-6's are not that hard to repair for a bad cylinder either. Find you another engine with one bad cylinder in it on the other bank for next to nothing. Then you can remove the good cylinder bank from it and put on your engine. The SUZUKI v-6 is a modular motor, the block is in 4 major sections. The 2 case halve's and then the 2 cylinder banks. You can swap out the cylinders without even removing the powerhead from the mid section. Or you could take your bad cylinder bank off and have it bored on just the one cylinder, and re-install it with a new piston. Might be cheaper than getting another engine to hang on it. You could probably get all of the parts needed to do the job for around $1K for new parts, and with some basic hand tools could get this thing back together.

Link to a parts diagram of the cylinder and head.

Thanks much for the info. The engine has to go as is though. I'm just not interested in fixing it because of time constraints.
