Where are you Tin?

In Pa. there is a guy just north of Hamburg and south of Port Clinton,
that raises albino deer.
I think he is still doing it, but I have not been up that way in a while.

I'm out on the east end of LI, NY. The deer out here are out of control. The other day I counted 34 in one heard. About 2 weeks ago I counted 14....ALL BUCKS! What's up with that?

I had family visiting from CO and I was letting my nephew drive my car when we spotted the deer, drove a couple miles home to get a camera. I didn't think he would still be there when we got back but he was. My nephew snapped a few shots.

I gotta tell yall, when i saw the title I got scared!! :o

I thought someone had seen Wily with a woman. ::)

WHEW!!! That was close!! Almost broke my heart!!! ;D

There is the same type of deer on the front paper of the Lewes News Paper today. Cape gazzett.
Wheee, by Stinky's heading post, thought he was gonna have another thong picture. :o

Right now you'll still be seeing the bucks together in bachelor groups, once saw a bachelor group here of about thirty bucks. Looked like a moving forest of antlers.
In a few weeks the groups will start breaking up into smaller informal groups with a larger buck usually with a couple of up and comers hanging around. Once the punami goes into estrus all bets are off and the big boys are constantly running off the shorts trying to sniff some.
As we all know its tough work keeping on top of a harem ;)
Usually the deer you see and refer to as albinos are actually piebolds, which are not true albinos with pink eyes and solid white. Piebolds are more common and dont have the eyes and will have at least some spots of brown on them.
Other deer in the heard will usually ostrisize them because they are easy to see in the woods and draw attention to the group even when they are not moving around. Thats a
NFG in nature.
