Been a while!

Been meaning to log on here for the last couple of weeks, just been busy and when I'm not I'm just plain tired. Looked at my name in the top corner and it says I logged on last on January 16! Ain't never gone that long! Been simplifying some things in life the last few years and don't have a smart phone or computer anymore so that's part of it. The new trawler is a lot to chew although everything is good there. Just a lot of small maintainence checks and small projects that because it's a boat take 5 times longer than it would otherwise. Getting my 19 skiff ready to sell in the next couple of weeks and been shopping for a 14 ft Panga to tow behind the trawler. When I find the right Panga I'll sell the 12 skiff too. Can't stand to think of selling the V though, too much heart and soul in that ol girl. I hope everyone is doing well, I'll log on here more often when I can

Thanks for checking in B, i thought you had gone on a Travis adventure. When u get your skiff ready, post it on the site, i m looking to upsize from my 13 whaler.

Good thing about owning a boat, you always have something to do

Good to hear from you. I thought maybe you'd headed out on the trawler for an adventure already. No computer, no smartphone . . . how are you surviving? Ha ha

Bradford who?? That name *sounds* familiar. :head:

Glad to hear you'e ok. I'm still jealous that you have a Trawler. I've wanted one for as long as I've been boating. Ever think about making the great loop? That's what I would really love to do. Why tow behind? Get a RIB and put it on the 02 level. Use the jib boom to put it in the water when you're moored offshore and need adult beverages.

Hey old buddy...welcome back. Wish I could chunk my cell phone. I find the computer comes in handy. Wish I didn't have to make a living looking at one tho!

Spare, that whaler I looked at up near you was nothing like the ad said as usual. All stuff that could be fixed, but def not for the price he was asking. I appreciate you talking to me about the engine.

Phatdaddy you are partially to blame for all this. Reading John D. Macdonald and especially all 21 Mcgees straight through literally changed me or brought out what was already there. If we ever meet up one day drinks and dinner are on me. Speaking of adventure, I'm looking at a panga down in Merritt island area on Saturday. Had the hair brained idea of how cool would it be to ship the trailer back to Savannah and come the whole way back on the intracoastal in the panga. Mentioned it to the wifey and she just smirked knowing I'm half serious. I'll let you know about the 19 skiff, it's a sweet setup, just not what I need.

Pipe and Blue it feels pretty good being disconnected most of the time from all the BS. I know a lot of folks need the constant technology connection for work, but I don't. I got a flip phone and use my wife's tablet if I need to get on the net. We do have a smart TV which is cool to watch a couple of YouTube channels I follow and because we cut off the cable about a year or so ago. I don't even text anymore.

Destroyer, I had an inflatable hanging on St Croix Davis off the transom, but took it off. Was way more cumbersome than I like, plus me the wife and two 50 to 60 pound dogs looked pretty silly loaded up in it. We plan on doing most of our cruising anchored out and having a fast and seaworthy tender that isn't gonna deflate, can be beached, can haul a load, etc is big for us
