... Is always best when everything is closed season :bsflag:

31" grouper, & 31" snapper both go back. Along with 10 or so smaller snapper. We get to keep 5 seabass and 3 flounder:sun:

I would have cried to have thrown them back. I'm afraid I would have practiced the old Key West tradition of filet and release.

But we got to keep all these, lol.

That's my buddy Cory who caught the fish. I was diving for lionfish as part of a tournament.

Only got 24 lions. Started in 85' and only found 4. Moved out to 100' and got 20 more. Then was kinda over it after getting only 24 in two drops. So we moved back to 85' for the 3rd drop, and I didn't even bring the lionfish container.

My buddy fished between and during my dives. He was getting slot of action in that 85' area, so we ended up spending a lot of time there, which was not where the lions were.

wow, nice job on the lionfish. looks like the snapper on the east coast are just as "endangered" as the gulf coast ones.
