Had the whole day to fish today. High tide was at 9:30 AM, plenty of time to get my son off to school and leave the little one with momma. Got some bait and a tip for a honey hole for fluke on the Long Island Side of the pond! I was excited ! I packed a lunch and grabbed the poles. I drove the .3 miles to my boat slip with high hopes.
Once I got there though my hopes and dreams were dashed upon the rocks by the steady East wind. I gave it my best shot though. I got across and set up a drift to find the wind against tide and a .2 MPH drift ( if you can call it that ). I headed back home and tried there, nada..... Long story short I caught nada, nothing, zip, zilch. "Wind from the East, Fish bite the least" held true today.
Anyone else experience this phenomena or is it just me ??
