Easy electrical Connectors

Over the weekend, I was doing some re-wiring of my electronics.
I went to the local auto parts store to look for some quick connectors for my radio power.
I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so the owner suggested posi-lock connectors.
These are cool and they work great.

Here's a link to check them out:

I've seen those before...glad to get a 1st hand report and they sound good!!...gotta rewire my bait-tank wire this morning...if I didn't already have the conventional stuff, I'd like to give 'em a shot...they look pretty water-proof...don't see how h20 could get in...

They make them for watertight applications, but they are expensive.
The standard ones will probably work as long as they don't get really wet.

Really it's hard to imagine how water COULD get in there...it'd have to find it's way thru some pretty tight threads once the end caps are screwed in...

You betcha. I tried to pull apart the connection just to test it,
it felt like raw wire with no cut and splice.

The place I got them is an old auot parts store in Milton Del.
I got a real deal, it was an old package of two and I paid $1.85.

Hmm,interesting connector. Probably works well in a non-submerged application(dash, cabin and such). As one of the many Po-Folk in this country I'll stick to the heat shrink connector with the solder inside which ain't all that cheap either.

Bo Dan - look for an old auto parts store in your area,
like mine, they probably sat on the shelf, no one trusted it and the owner never upped the price.

I love it when I get lucky that way.
