,Strip, I think you've got two different areas mixed in one name.I'm guessing you mean EATONS NECK and LLOYDS HARBOR. Eatons Neck is just west of the U.S.coast guard station, Llyod harbor is basically south [or so. west] of C.G.station.Lloyd harbor is not historically known as a "fishing hot spot",like any other harbor it will yield a large bass or blue at any time.A good spot for fluke is "Sand City",us locals gave it that name many years ago.I dont have gps coordin. for you, but I can tell you this any 'ol L.I. sound map will show the coast guard station, and that is basically the enterance into Northport/Huntington harbor. You're basically in a southerly direction, C.G. on your left [or east]straight in 3/4 mile or so, you'll eventually see an old lighthouse,THAT is the enterance to Huntington harbor.Come back off the lighthouse 3-400 ft. and go 90* port rudder [or left] THATS NPT. harbor. If you head towards npt. harbor off your left shoulder you will see channel markers and the point of sand city. No rocks no sandbars so you can get tight to the beach if need be.I preffer an outgoing tide there but either one will produce. Another good area [if youre coming over this way].. is the Eatons Neck triangle.A bout 3/4 of a mile due northof theC.G. sta.is a red or green [I forget which] marker bouy#13,about a mile due north of 13 is bouy#"11B" and off to the west about mid distance of 13 and 11B is #28 or 28C All 3 of these cans form a triangle, the Eatons neck triangle, a very hot bass/bluefish spot.lots of stucture depths of 60-70 ft. then comming up into the 20s strong currents 6,7,8 ounces of wieght is not unusual,I like chunking that area or diamond jigs right off the bottom, great area for bass/blues.All those Norwalk fluke boats I was seeing this passed week were just EAST of the coast guard sta. Be advised...directly in front andeast of the c.g. sta. there are some rocks stay a good 100 ft. off the front and once you get 150-200 yards to the east youre safe...would'nt want you to foul that new motor or the boat . Depths of 13-18 ft. are the norm. If you can drift away [or north] of the beach there is a fairly dramatic drop-off down to 40 ft. and its like that for miles. From cold spring harbor to port jefferson the first 1/4 off the beach is not much more than 17-20 ft. deep, then after that 1/4 mile there's a 20-30 ft. cliff,... it just drops real fast....good for bass and fluke.Hope this helps you out.If you get out to ant of those spots let me know how you made out ,good luck
