My club is holding its second Annual Chili Fest this up coming Saturday at Bennetts Creek Park. Its starts at noon and goes until 5:00pm with cold beer, hot chili, and good music. Bennetts Creek Sertoma raises money for local hearing impaired children to help them with cost they cannot afford. Please check out our link or drop me a Bmail on ticket info.

Can't make the chilifest, but glad you posted this so maybe some can go. Thanks for helping out the kids in need in your area.

My wife and I will try to go "still" She grew up in Deerfield on Shoulder's hill rd. Her mom still lives there. Do you know Joe Durick? He does alot with the Vol fire dept out there. He's my brother in-law.

It'l be nice to meet you.

Last year we had about 800 people come through the door and the event went pretty good for its first year. This year we hope to get 1,000 but our problem right now is only 8 chili teams have signed up and we wanted 16. Its still a good time and we do sell beer, hot dogs, smoked sausage which we price pretty cheap for this type of event. Our club does give away Chili as long as it last but that seperate from the cook off. If you think you might come let me know as I purchased several tickets to give to the family and I might have a couple left over. If not I can save you $5 bucks by having the tickets at the door waiting for you as they are $5 more at the door.

I will miss it by a day. I will be in Norfolk for 2 weeks starting Sunday

Your are the same Carl who went fishing with me last year? Not sure if you saw my post but I purchased a 1999 241 Pro Line several weeks back. I cleaned up the V real good and did a little better than eapected selling the boat. The good part was the guy tried talking me down so I agreed if I kept my GPS so I'll have two working GPS on my new boat.

Yup - that's me. It was just about a year ago that we fished together. I did see your posts about selling your V. Congrats on the bigger boat. I took a few ideas from our fishing trip. I now have a grappling anchor similar to the one you have and I will be painting the deck of my V here soon with the same paint you had used along with the non-skid.
