Welcome aboard Bertram. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your boat. We love boat porn here, so any pics you can post will be appreciated greatly. Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome, I’m not too far from you. I’m in Mathews Co. so we may pass each other in the bay this summer!

Yeah your right, she is dirty but I bet she will clean up reel good, a trip to the dollar tree seems to be in your future, pick up toilet bowl cleaner ( the works ) and start to scrub , good luck on your new boat, a reel classic you have.

toilet bowl cleaner with bleach works ? woud soft scrub scratch the gelcoat? i used zep mold mildew Cleanr.. spray on and everything disappears... just wear crappy clothes. then i wash down with soap & water

Welcome Greg! Love the old 70's Vs. You can add a little bleach to your soapy water and it will clean that boat right up. When I first got my V, I washed it good and buffed it with 3M fiberglass restorer and wax and it came out slick and shiny as new.

Looking beautiful!!!

You probably know this already, but unless my eyes deceive me that's a 20" transom. Size your engine accordingly. :head:

Yes we raised it,,, It's actually 25" from top to keel
going to put a 175hp 25" evinrude on
:sand:
