Hey bradford

got a freind that moored his boat in a marina in Savanha, how bad did it get there? If you get out and about, keep your eye out for a 55ft wood booze cruise boat called the Osprey

Bradford and wifey alive and well. The house made it Thank God. The yard looks like a war zone, the whole island does actually. Lost two trees, but somehow not the ones I would have thought would go. Both uprooted. Got friends and neighbors with serious problems, trees trough the roof, roofs ripped off, trees on boats. Got the generator set up ahead of time and running two refrigerators, a deep freeze, couple of lamps, window a/c, an two box fans, plus got a cord to the neighbors to keep their refrigerator running. I seriously thank God we're not dealing with the stuff a lot of people are. I looked at the radar app on my phone about 230 and it showed the western eyewall wind directly over the top of my house, even though they say it didn't land here. Been a long 72 hours.

How about you Tsubaki? Spare? Pipedream?

We got the road cleared late yesterday afternoon so we were able to get out or let the population in, which ever your perspective might Of the dozen or so houses on our block only one sustained damage from a tree falling across the end of it. The tree squashed a car too.

The neighbors got out yesterday and said the Parkers and China Taste on DeRenne and Skidaway was open.

There was one fatality reported in Isle of Hope from a tree falling on a house with someone in it.

So far, no real problems on our end.

Spare, the only thing I can find related is the Coast Guard picked up a person stranded on a sailboat that was anchored in the Bull River. He was taken to Hunter Army Airfield to wait on family to pick him up.
No mention of his name, place of port or boat name.

Added the coffe pot and electric skillet to the generator load this morning.

Pipedream, you out there? Sounds like Hilton Head got it pretty good.

Hey, the ice maker just dropped a load after runningoffthe generator since 12pm!
Finally got off my *** and cranked up the generator this morning in anticipation to tote it over to our nursery to water plants here in Chatham County but the national guard had the road blocked on one end and a tree and power lines from the other.
Figured it needed running anyway.
My wife is handling our stuff in Bulloch County, might make a ride there in A day or so.

She said they got it under control and everyone is fine.

She said they was doing the same with the skillet and coffee pot

Public on Wilmington Island is scheduled to open Monday at 8am

They won't fully appreciate it. My neighbors and I have been busting *** with chainsaws, blowers, and other implements of mass destruction. With the exception of a stack of logs and two big ole stumps and a whole lot more daylight, my yard looks like pretty much nothing happened. The county came through with a front end loader and pushed all the heavy debris off the road. Georgia power has taken down most of the poles that were snapped in half and dangling. The national guard rolled through after we had everything cleared for them. We've got four more yards to do today, but need the dump to open up, got three landscape trailers loaded to the gills to dump. I'm not waiting on the county to pick up anything, they just finally got up the debris from Hermine last week and had to hire outside contractors to do that. Had a small cookout with some neighbors last night. The Publix on Whitemarsh Island is open if y'all need groceries.
