i priced a new pump being installed today the guy is going to tell me the bad news tomorrow reguards to price tomorrow. he had one in his shop that was a 96 rollback he just put heads, injection pump, and lift pump in that ran good with 450,000 miles on the motor.

SSDIESEL has them for $675 now, and my buddy that used to work at a dealer said book time on a pump was around 4 hours. So you think your pump went to a better place? If you have it replaced make sure the shop has a TECH1, TECH2, or GMTDscantech. These are the only ways to set the TDC offset on the OBD1 6.5's.

yeah it's a diesel shop that's all the fix is fleet and hd trucks but i know the owner he's an old friend. my pump is the old # it was last replaced with a DS4831-5459, my original pump was a DS4831-5521 i still have it to use as a core.

Thats what I was thinking. ::)

That's not a bad price for a pump on a 6.5, most dealers want $2K+ and side shops are normally $1500+. Just make sure he can set the TDC offset.
