hi low rigs

How do you store them in tackle box? Tie them up together in knots? I tried zip lock bags but they always fly away and i have to catch them.

years ago I used a CD case. It had sleaves that fit a coiled rig. it was fake leather and had a zipper. I still have it somewhere. I used that when going on a party boat or someone elses boat.

I pretty much just make new rigs on the fly when fishing now. #50 leader , two dropper loops and a surgeons loop at the bottom for the sinker (or jig). Hooks just loop onto the droppers so its quick and you can remove hooks to store rod with leader attached.

ziplocks work ok, add the hooks when needed, otherwise a complete mess. Other method is make them on site. I'm sorta the dedicated rig tie er. My motto is "y'all break em I make em." I don't get to fish much but I love watching my crew catch them.

I make them on site. Usually it's just me or my son, so it's no big deal. I have a few commercially made "spools" that you wrap the rig around for storage. They are ok, but it's easier to just make them as I need them.

years ago i helped out on the head boat out of Swan Point Marina. They tied the rigs directly on using the line on the reel. Double overhand knot making a loop, pinch the loop and thread it thru the eye of the hook or the weight. I'd watch the other people fishing and figure out which hook height was working best and change my rig up. I have at times put 6 hooks on my line, figured out which ones were catching the targeted species, removed the hooks catching trash fish.
