I've got a question for the POWICE OCCIFERS here

Since there seems to be quite a few occifers here, I've got a question for ya. Do you guys get pissed when people slam on there brakes or slow down when they see you guys driving along under the speed limit in the right hand lane on a highway with more than 2 lanes?This is something that bugs the he!! out of me and I want to know how you guys feel about it. I can't stand it when I'm going down interstate doing 70-75 in a 70 and people slow down to way under the speed limit just so they won't pass him. I look at it like this. If I'm abiding by the law and driving safely, then I aint gonna change my driving just because theres a cop driving along with me. I've passed many cops that were doing 55 in a 70 and I was goin 70 and people say I'm NUTS!


What do you guys think(other than the obvious that I'm NUTS ;D)? Does this annoy you as well?

Thats funny that you said that. An officer myself, a few years back I passed a Trooper who was in the right lane just cruising. He turns around and pulls me over and chews me the riot act. The nerve of this Trooper. Hell, I had Troopers off duty doing 65 in a 25. When I went to pull them over, badges or there trooper hats be hanging out the window. I'd smile and let on there way. But this super Trooper wanted to break my stones.
Since then I never clicked well with Troopers in Delaware. they think they are better then the town and city cops.

It annoys me to the point of road rage though when I'm on interstate running 70 on the cruise in a 70 and everybody SLAMS on the brakes and drops to 55 just because that's what the cop is doing. If I'm breaking the law then I deserve to get stopped, but if I'm not then I'm not. I'm going to go abouts my business as usual.

Fermanator...I hear what yer sayin' and it IS a little bothersome, but wore than that, a MORON in the left lane holding the speed limit or less is what sends REELLY grinds my grits >:( ...


...but what I'm workin' on now is just tryin' to deal w/ it...it's NOT a perfect world...expectin' it is settin' up dissappointment ...I'll be 55 next month and have come to realize just gettin' there is the main-thing ;) ;D ...

I just start riding there a$$ flashing lights, and beep they move!!

I have state that come flying up the road while I am doing 70 in a 55 and I pull ove when I can buit if not I just keep going till I can, then they just whip right on by and I get in behind them.
I had a state do this to me while I was driving 112 mph on my way to work, He yelled on the load speaker to pull it over to the right, I did and he just zipped right by me and was gone!!

Ask CB he knows why people get out of my way!! LMFAO!! ask him go ahead!!

As a traffic cop let me say, please go on by @ the speed limit.

Not to divulge too much, but you may have witnessed a highway criminal interdiction technique.

Oh, and state troopers get brainwashed during their training that they are better than everyone else. It takes at least 10 years for it to wear off.

Randleman, you are correct. During the last few weeks of the academy, Toopers are then seperated from the city and town guys and then brain washed to believing they can walk on water.

I go by them at the limit(or within 10% of it) and don't think twice. It's the idiots that slam on there brakes that really get me torqued. I know cops do this to make people with something to hide nervous, but if you don't have anything to hide then why lock em up. I've gotten pulled over for speeding once, and i had it comein. I paid the ticket and took the class to drop the points, NO BIG DEAL. If I was a COP I would pull EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM OVER!!! And give em a reckless driving ticket, but that's probably why I'm not a COP.

And people who bogart the left lane when there are only 2 lanes goin either direction get me to. I think we need more driver education like they have in GERMANY. They have the autobahn and some of the lowest traffic problems anywhere.

The people locking it down do have something to hide.  It may be that they just killed someone, they are carrying a load of dope, they have an unpaid parking ticket, yesterday they were speeding and they think the cop can tell.

The reaction is the same.

Of course there is the large group of people who have no idea what the speed limit is because they are on the phone so they just match the cops speed.

One of the best traps I've seen is the sign on the hi-way says "License Check Ahead"...the ones w/something to hide take the next Off-Ramp...and there they sit !! ... 8) ...line 'em up, boys ;) ...
