Hey Gang

Just for the heck of spending money ::)...I want to replace the raw water pump on my 97 150 Johnson Ocen Runner. :)

Do you mind giving me a tip on the part # (kit) and where to get it from?

Thanks

Joe

Any Johnson dealer will have it. Call them and give them your serial number....tell em what ya got and they'll fix you up. You'd better save up cause you are gonna be outta $20 or $30 over this!

;D

Thanks BR

I figure I could get it on line... there's a repair shop near my town, but the guy that runs it has a bug up his S :o all the time.

I'll look around mith more time.

Thanks

I would be sure to check the part nums and serial nums before buying anything. Online, in person, doesn't matter.

Also, I've always hears those impellers should be replaced every 2 years although I admittedly didn't follow that 100% with my first boat.

How's the weather Bass? You were the one that posted those "frozen" pictures not too long ago weren't you? We had it great last weekend with temps in the 80's and blue skies. :D

There are 2 basic water pump kits for the V-4 and V-6 JOHNNY-RUDES. They both use the same impeller, but they use 2 different housings. Your 150 should use the later style water pump. They run about $60-$65 for the complete kit at a dealer, or you can pick up an impeller for around $20. You can find them on E-bay or at a dealer. Aftermarket is available as well for the impeller, but I don't think they offer an aftermarket housing for the late model ones.

Ya gonna have to wait afew months for those frooooozen pics again, from now on it's shorts time baby! Yeeees, shorts for me and dental floss thongs for the girls in the V ;D ;D

Please do't tell my wife :o ;)
