Went out today about 14 miles. Porpose kept hanging around the boat.

Once we got rid of him we started slaying the snapper.

We could have kept our limit but just kept what we were going to eat. The boat ran great !!!!!!!! Good day with my wife and son.

Man, those are some nice snappers, I bet they were delicious.

That is pretty cool, the dolphin hanging around. We see a lot of them around Holden Beach, NC, but they never come that close when the boat is not moving.

Do they steal your fish like those California Sea Lions?

Nice job! Looks like a calm day!

I have had flipper take many throwback snapper, but they avoid them when online...hooks and sonar dont mix. ;)

Nice snappers, curious how deep was the water in the gulf 14 miles out? Did you go out the skyway? How much is snapper per lb. in the store right now? Z

Wow, rough as a cob out there man. I bet you guys got soaked on the way out ;D

Ok, question time - what was bait and didja eat some fresh? Come on, make our mouths water!

Pretty work dude! Nice pix too ;)

We head out of pensacola pass. At 14 miles its 103 to 106 foot. We used cigar minnows for bait. What we do is chum with pasta and vodoo oil .We fill a 5 gln bucket with cooked pasta the night before. Add 5 cups of vodoo oil. Let it sit over night. In the morning your ready to go.My son likes to put dead Cigs and Pilchards in the mix, but its not really necessary. You take a dip net every 10 min. or so and toss it. The Snapper come right up to the boat. King get in the slick to. Also some Cobia.Yes the porpoise do take the fish off the hooks. My wife lost about a 40lb King do to him in the picture. There not bashfull at all. My son left the grill at the house so we didnt cook any out there. But we have in the past. ;) Heres some more pictures
