Launched (finally)

After a spring of home improvement, the PD is finally in her slip, and life is indeed very good.

Launched by myself Saturday (no pics), and simply took her into her slip where I spent 3 hours cleaning 4 months of dust, pine pollen, oak pollen from the top, deck and cockpit (scrub, scrub, scrub). Crud was everywhere - a friend asked my when I painted my boat yellow ::). But she cleaned up really nice.

Sunday I finally got to play, took her for a shakedown cruise and snapped a few pics. The Yammi ran great, and it was bee-u-tee-ful on the water.

Y'know Reel, I was wondering IF someone was going to call me out on that, and sure enough it was you. ;)

Like I said, I was working alone the whole weekend. I thought about setting her adrift from the fuel dock and taking pics as she floated away, but something about the idea just didn't make sense to me. Thought about beaching her, but it was near high tide and all the close sandbars were under water. So, the only place I could get a pic of her was the marina, and it's mighty close quarters in there and I don't have a wide angle lens. I promise to do better in the future.

Here she was in February, pre-pine pollen
