Location for BAttery Switch

I mounted mine inside my starboard transom locker on the splash well wall.  A future project will be to add a recessed opening with door.  I'll try to find a photo of it and add it here.  Reasons: 1 I wouldn't have to pull out bin to turn switch 2  Door makes it water resistant.  Billy Mac  ;D

I cut a door in like the V21s have and bought a dual battery tray from Cabelas.  Its a tight squeeze but they'll fit.  Billy Mac  ;D

Thats one thing I have nothing to worry about!! A full transom is open all the way across, I could fit 8 battery's in there if I needed to.

In my 1983 V20 I have it mounted inside on the slanted part of the splash well. Its right there when I open the door. The draw back is you see the heads of the screws on the splash well and I have to remove to take the batteries out.

Mac, could you elaborate on the cutting the door in. All of that wasted space drives me crazy. It would also give access to the tru hulls for the deck drain. thanks

mac thanks, grreat Idea... my layout is similar to hammers, so i don't believe i have the space to add the larger hatches and fit the batteries in there. I'll have to go do some measurin . Hammer i notice you have them on the gunnells also. That would really help in getting to those drains. I checked the west catalogue and found a 7 x 11 or 8 1\2 x 11 3\8. Great more holes to cut!!!!

Phat, that was the reason I installed the covers on the gunnels as well. It made connecting everything up alot easier. Dont remember the price, but I got mine off of
E-Bay.
