When I started working on the V in November I had a goal in mind which was today. I made up my mind that my V would fish in our annual Hunt for Hard Heads Tournament between the Portsmouth Anglers Club and the Great Bridge Anglers Club. We won the tournament 18 points to 9 points.
Scoring was based on length only in 3 species Croaker, Bluefish, and Flounder on a 5,3,1 scale. Conditions were pretty scanky in the mouth of the James River with a stiff 15 to 25 MPH out of the North West but I was very pleased with the way the V handled. My crew and myself were able to place 3 fish for 5 of our 18 points
. We had the 3rd place flounder and 2nd and 3rd place Bluefish. The best thing about this little tourny is that all the procedes from boat entry fees goes to the Wish a Fish foundation and we all had a good time, even if it was blowing a gale ;D.
