but, have you ever tried to cut carpet with a cat? This became rather intersting. I know, throw her out.....well, ya, but she is a Bengal, and is way more like a dog than a cat. But, I did go and get her a leash:sun:

Actually, going to take her out on the boat, she loves spending time in there with me, and a Bengal is suppose to be a water cat. She is 9 months old, and I am told will be about 25 pounds or so. Gonna be my gaurd cat....LMAO

Some cats do have some personality.....25 lbs is gonna be a big *** cat. Until recently we always have had 2 cats or so around the house.....since they've been gone I've had mice out the wazoo....never did give them enough credit as mousers.

yeah my 2 tux's are like best friends with me. both love te beach and water which i rescued them from the beach, they are twin brothers.

Few, I was worried about you boat guys makin fun of a cat guy.... I had a pretty special Tom for a few years, was 16pounds, and big. Man, rode in the car with me everywhere. When he was a kitten, he rode in my backpack on the motorcycle, with his head stick up thru the bag. The road finally got him last year.....I actually cried picking him up off the road. BUT, had a cool russian blue show up, was just awsome, hung out for 3 months, and split. I also got one of my cats grand-kittens :) Along with this bengal. Notice she is harnessed, and as soon as the little one is big enough, he his gonna have to deal with one also. And if he is anything like his granddadcat?? (oh thats horrible)Its NOT going to happen. I have a hightop full size van thats a DIY camper I like to travel with sometimes, well actually allot. May be heading down to Ocala Fl in the near future for a few days to see my Dad. But, they should do well in there, her, well because she is what she is, a Bengal, and him, well, I hoping he got the good genes...LOL

We have 5 right now, not counting the two that live exclusively outside, mooch food from us daily and let us think they belong to us... The reason we have that many right now is that one of the outside cats had 6 kittens, so we brought them all inside.. gave away 3, and have mom and 3 of her kittens now living with us as well as the Persian that we've had for 12+ years. (Just remember to spay or neuter those cats unless you want lots more). I'm sorry about your road loss.. I've gone thru it a few times and I know it's not fun.. and yes, I've cried also.

Bengals are beautiful.. about as big as an Ocelot. My Ocelot was almost 26 lbs but that's a long time ago and she's in a better place now. (but I really miss her a lot) She'd lay at the bottom of the bed, and go to sleep purring every night.. just like a house cat.

She is my first *big cat*, looking forward to it. I was actually keeping an eye out for a Maine Coon, when she came along. She isnt marked properly, and was givin to a family with several young kids, and it just wasnt working out. I was just there at the right time, she is 9 months old.

My insurance says no dogs, but nothing about mountain lions....:head:

Wow, an Ocelot, she had to be something special. How did you get her?

Lady several houses down the street from where I grew up raised them...
I used to babysit (yes, teenagers will do anything for gas money) for her..we were friends. Anyways, she died about 25 years ago, and the daughter that I babysat for was all grown up by that time, but remembered that I loved her cats... there were 3 kittens from a new litter and she didn't want to raise them like her mom did, so she remembered that I loved them and asked me if I wanted one.. That's how Cleo came into my life. :fam:

And here I thought I was the only nutcase who drove around with his cat with him....LOL I love going thru a drive thru, Sadie, the bengal, has no issues. She has her head right out the window checkin things out. I thought I would never have another cat like that after I lost my big tom. The bengal, well, she seems almost like a dog, and the real young one is young enough, he has no choice...LOL:sun:

Wow, a cat topic made 2 pages in a mostly male forum. Never thought THAT would happen......LOL Most guys I know personally, dont seem to take a liking to cats, have run into very few guys that actually like them.

Dogs are a pain in the a$$. Don't get me wrong.. when I've had dogs I've loved having them and loved having them around...and I really miss my Sasha... but you have to feed them and let them out and bring them in, etc., etc., etc. You don't have to do that with cats... put out a large bowl of dry food and a large bowl of water, make sure the litter box is clean and you can leave for a week and not have to worry about them... they'll be just fine when you get back from vacation or wherever. My wife and I live active lifestyles, so cats fit right in for the reasons just stated...:news:
