Raymont Hunter V20 - Lewes, DE on eBay

Damm, right here in my own back yard. Why do all the sweet deals happen after you get something. I would have hopped on this baby in a heartbeat.

Hammer that is always the way. One of the other boats I really liked when I was looking around was the older Bertram Moppie. A fellow near by had one that he had restored and it was one of the nicest boats I have ever seen. Could not find one in anything but total restoration needed condition and even then for a good chunk of change.
Well feeling high as a kite, finally brought home Old School and running around getting things squared away on it I go down to a local hardware store and there in the parking lot is the restored Moppie with a for sale sign on it. $2500.00 more than what I had paid for my boat.
I think they call it LIFE :-/

Yeah man I agree with. Life is a real knocker sometime. Even now, I found a new shipwreck to dive, but it lies in the seperation zone in the Delaware Bay. Besides the tankers being in my way, the current rips through there like cars on I-95.

Boat from E-Bay.

Hammer, I found my boat before it was forsale. I knew the owner was getting close 'cause he was working on a bigger boat. I went to his house one afternoon when I just had to have it. I asked if he was ready to sell and he repilied "not yet." I whipped out a big ole stack of fresh hundreds and said "how 'bout now." He got the title and we did the deal right then. True story. I took the boat home when wifey was out and left a dozen roses on the bow and went back to work. She threw the roses at me but she got over it.

Buddy of mine just whipped in a guy's driveway and asked if he was ready to sell a boat he had his eye on for years. A 1991 19ft Grady White tournament in pristine condition. Garage kept with full enclosures that had never been put on!

Guy said, yeah I'll sell it tonight. And so he bought it.

Boat does look very clean in the pictures.  I see stripe remnants -- did he paint over the stripes, or just not get the glue off?  It also looks a little uneven just below and around starboard scupper thru-hull.

Now maybe I'm looking too hard, or it's just the photo resolution, but I'm thinking I see bottom paint under that white paint.

Sign me,
Skeptic

Follow up: I went to his "high-resolution" photos, and for whatever reason they aren't any better, at least on my poor ol' computer. But there's a definite ghost stripe.

Pipe. You're not imagining things. That boat has been repainted and he just went over everything. Even up on the underside of the rubrail. The gray color is the tipoff.

Emailed the guy and said the stripes and Wellcraft decal were removed a few years ago. The boat has never been repainted and always been kept on the trailer. Floor and transom are solid.
