spearfishing video

Here's a video I posted on youtube from last weekend, for anyone who's interested. This is my first video, so it's not top quality. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I think I'm gonna buy a headstrap for the camera because the gun mount doesn't offer all of the action after the shot is taken. Also the video gets chaotic at the end when my buddy shoots a 60 lb cobia with less than 1000 psi of air left.

nice cobia, great video, i like the gun angle, a head strap might pan to quickly , nothin like goin in their house , picking one out, and bringing it home...

Great video!.....that cobia looks bigger under water than on land. The resolution of the camera is awesome...is it some sort of regular camera in a waterproof case or something more specific?

Thanks guys. The camera is called a GoPro. It's under 300 and comes with a waterproof case. We were 85' deep. I think it can go 100 meters deepi.

As a fisherman who has never been a diver, it always amazes me to see how many fish are down there....if you are in the right spot.

Seems like having the light mounted on the gun would be helpful.....but maybe you don't need it that often?

Thats a cool video, thanks for sharing.

Now that was some cool stuff. Was that a shark I saw about 3 mins into it?

That was the cobia. We do see sharks but really not often and they aren't aggressive like they are in S. Florida or Bahamas

I got certified back in the early 80s...but never got into spearin'...looks like a LOTTA fun!!...GREAT video and NICE Cobie...thanks for postin'...

Very cool! Sometimes I think about diving again but I'm just too addicted to fishing and I can do that alone. I used to dive on vacation in FL/Caribbean/Hawaii. Only went here in NJ once on my V20. Dove a wreck that I fish alot...HAD to see it! Very cool but cold and poor visibility. That was enough. If I was in FL it'd be different.

Oh, by the way....You need 2 cameras! Use Movie Maker to edit together...Solves your dilema!:hide:
