Stripers, Stripers, Stripers

We went out Monday night to the MMBT and started off trying to chunk for stripers with know luck and as the tied started ripping I decided to troll for a little while. We made it about 100 yards and had our first fish on I truned away from the bridge as I watched my buddy catch his first striper. We went back to that same spot and did the same thing 15 times catching a striper each time. We probably only worked like 200 yards of the bridge and caught our limit and a few more for fun in about an hour. Headed home and caught the second half of MNFB. Chris we have to get out when this weather clears and I would have called but the boat was loaded before I had the chance.

Yea we had a blast but I let my buddy who had never caught any stripers crank in most of the fish. I had more fun watching him and his dad trash the boat just trying to net one and get it into the boat. They had stuff everywhere each time a fish hit the line and it looked like they went around the boat and pulled everthing out and dropped it on the floor just to catch the fish. They had a blast and I just drove the boat and laughed at them. I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics as I'm not very good with computers. I met csvencer (another member her) who lives close by so maybe when I get him out again he can post some pics.

The Stripers are starting to give a good showing, NJ and NY.

Nice catch but you need to send those big ones down to Va as we are waiting for them to arrive. Is that your Pro Line. I have a 1999 24.5 which I just purchased this past summer. It was tough to part with the V but it was time for something a litle bigger.

Yes that is my Proline, 23', I/0. I love the boat !!!

You sound like me...I like to watch peeps that don't get to fish often...it's a BLAST!!...

What were you guys trolling? Stretchs I assume.

Sorry for the slow response with this past storm I have been busy at work. We caught them on 4 or 5 inch Storms Red Heads Pearl Body trolling. The fish ranged from 18' to maybe 24. We did not try anything else trolling because we had such luck with the Storms. I've heard the bite has been very good this week trolling and casting storms and the guy I talked to used the same color. I have heard a few people catching some over the slot but they are chunking. I have had zero luck chunking but it probably me not knowing what I'm doing.

Nice looking boat and I'd love to have that platform off the back. What year? Mine has that stupid sink built in the transom which I just took out the faucet and converted to a freash water washdown. It was actually a real easy job and the original pump provides enough water preasure and 25 gallons of water.
