tackle bucket!

The real humor in this is the fact there is probably a species of fish out there big enough to swallow that lure whole! 8)

Revmax, that's the Cod Jig bucket. MJ pours lead into stainless steel tubing of various lengths (different weights) specifically for jigging up Cod. Much easier than storing with all your other tackle and hanging them on the side of the bucket keeps tangles to a minimum. That's the way to do it up this way. ;)

We do that with our lipped plugs down here too - I was just messin with MJ.

Buckets have many many uses down this way:

1 - redneck drift sock
2 - redneck porta pottie (I actually prefer this over a real one)
3 - redneck tackle storage
4 - redneck bilge pump
5 - redneck raw water washdown
6 - redneck cooler
7 - redneck bait tank
8 - what else?

I was trying to keep this bucket thread geared toward fishing, but I guess there are at least 1000 uses aside from boating, huh?

I know the few times I've been offshore the mate used a bucket with water for rigged ballyhoo. For thawing and such.

Then there's also the sud bucket when you are washing your baby...

What else?

At first I thought he was talking about the gill bracket??

Then CB was talking about jigs??

I was what am I missing??

Yes the cod bucket!! Caught many cod on some of them jigs!!

These jigs are made from aluminum pipe, they work great!
We use from 12 oz to 28 oz jigs, so I have them in different leanths for the desired weight. 3/4 pipe filled with lead.
