you dont see this everyday

Good thing that boat didn't get dislodged when the guys went to climb up on it from the front to turn the motor off; that could've been ugly.

Wow, I guess they didn't have a kill switch lanyard!

Definitely not a great idea to be anywhere near the front of that boat while on the rocks.

hey grace that boat wasnt coming off those rocks because the prop had no blades left on it after it hit those rocks... the guy also said the transom was cracked and the bow had a nice hole in it. and u know that motor was shot after that.

ahhh... well that definitely makes a difference, but did the guys know that when they arrived and jumped in the water? Either way, just glad nobody got hurt. Boats can be replaced (hopefully the guy had insurance). ;-)

yeah they had no idea.. they just had the pumping adrenaline and did the first thing they thought of doing... and killswitches are definite boat and life savers.

I'm all over that area several times a week. It's usually crowded on weekends to the extent I'm surprised no one got slammed into by it. Word I got was the guys were crowded around the helm while underway and someone fell forward
onto the throttle launching them all out.

I don't hava lanyard switch on my V-20 but, I've had both feet off the floor hanging onto the helm coming off backsides of huge waves.

Yeah, like Joe said. That's what I installed on my dually when I had it. You can let go of the wheel underway and it will stay right where it is...
