Hey Cy, good to see you back around here. Good luck on the sale. If you are like me it is always bittersweet to sell a boat.

Hey C Yensen, hate to see you sell her but good luck selling it. Still got mine but haven't been on the water in 6 years since my son in law passed away. Its all ready, just gotta go. Been a long time, you doin ok?

Im ok, good to hear from you. I just don't have time or a good place to use it. Rather someone else get to enjoy it. That's better than sitting on a trailer.

Maybe do a little cosmetic spiffing up. I spent several years doing real estate and was constantly amazed at the difference the slightest cosmetic difference made in interest, time on the market and price. Some oil on the wood, the outdrive and engine a little fresher black and a moderate blast with a pressure washer might make a significant difference. My wife has made the comment that I agree with “People don’t like other people’s dirt”. Just a suggestion.

I’m not an IO guy, I see a radiator cap, does it have a heat exchanger? I know those are expensive maintenance along with bellows and gamble bearings. All that in good shape?

I always liked that hull layout. It would make a great candidate for a bracket conversion. Full transom with fuel tank forward would be great

Do you have a place to water test it for a buyer?

Also ,like Scook said, give it some curb appeal.

I have that configuration - the heat exchanger is the largish tube low on the port side of the engine. Mine cost me a bunch before I learned to drain it for the winter. It froze and had to be replaced. Fortunately they were (at least at the time) manufactured in the northwest and I got one for half of what Mercury wanted, but I think it was still about $400.
