Got out this afternoon in a sloppy wind but trolled up some stripers off Lavalette on a mojo. Boated a 30# and a 20# fish and lost a few more. Humpbackwhales eating square miles of bunker. Its on...just need some good weather! Glad I have a cuddy with a hard top and curtains!!!

Yep that's what am talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those mo-jo's use 100lb leader look's like you could anchor up on the leader in that picture.

not yet but we do see them in Nov a mile off the beach. I've chased 60 pounders around while they jump up "over there...no over there..."...don't know anyone who has hooked one though.
 
Went solo cuz my fishing buddies are pussies.

three more this afternoon on mojos off Mantoloking. All three caught between 530pm and 6pm. Biggest was 44 inches. Keep forgetting my goPro....cell phone pix suck.

Took a day off Wednesday and fished all day. No stripers.
Wasted a $15 bag of clams on six throwback black seabass.

well they pussied out again this morning. I got six by myself. Four were on the lightweight snagging rod...couldn't get a snagged bait in before it got hit! Done by 830 AM.

Hey Chuck I have to tell you these video's are very professional and great action for any fisherman or normal person to see!!!!!!!!!! Giorgio and you have this fishing thread very interesting.:nice:
 
Got a couple more this morning. This might be the last trip. Caught a bunch already and I don't feel like waiting around for freezing temps.

Done!!!

Well, did one more morning trip to the Mantoloking pipe and got our mojos mauled by little bluefish.

Pulled the boat for the season.

Had to find a new dock for next season due to reconfiguring at Garden State Marina. Capt Pete suggested Will's Hole Marina on the other side of the bridge.
Got a slip at a reasonable rate. From the new slip I could see my boat looking under the bridge.
 
You did well...

Due to circumstance, I'm just STARTING my striper season, and plan to be out there over the Thanksgiving weekend.
