Console

Working on many projects over the winter but I could not resist jumping in and remodeling the dash!

I love setting up a clean looking dash panel the way I want it. Perhaps that's what's so great about these boats - you don' feel bad about taking things apart a resembling.

Instead of installing a dash panel, I glassed over the old cutout and used the new glass as a clean slate. I was able to find a Faria multi-gauge set up and a tach with an hour meter. Those two gauges saved me all the 2" cut outs.

The 2" gauge is a Faria depth gauge so I don't have to look at the fish finder for depth.

I will be painting the console this week with Petit Easypoxy 2 (two part) yacht white.

Console with paint

After much research, I decided to use Pettit Ezpoxy 2. From what Pettit told me, the product is very forgiving for a two part and will cure without adding the second part so there is no need to worry about a perfect mixture.

I did find the product very easy to work with once you get the hang of roll and tip method and wet sanding.

It looks good now but we will see in a few years how it holds up...

I plan on painting the topsides with this same product "yacht white"

Will update photos along the way!
