Finaly Out Front

Sean

God
Boat went on the mooring on Sat. and with the holiday and all we really did not get a chance to fish until today. Although there are not many schools of pogies around, things didn't really skip a beat from the move from the Bay, to the Ocean Side.
A few pics of Bass in the water.. One of these days I'll get the shot I'm looking for

The boat home at last..

Nice fish

You got use to the t-top?
First couple of times I went out with one new to the boat, I had to wack it a couple of times with the rod trying to set the hook.

I hope you released those to swim back down here for the winter!

Pretty fish bro!!

What's the beam on that CC of yours? She looks nice and wide.

T-tops great, I did have to adjust my hook set to the "reverse golf swing" when fishing on the sides, but there is plenty of room every were else on the boat.
Beam is a litle over 7 1/2 feet and is a good platform for a 18' boat.
We kept our limit of two fish per angler and the rest go back to fight another day, All of our catch goes to good use with litle to no waiste (Food -to Lobster Bait)...

Great job Sean. I went out with my brother Monday 6am and started out good, we got plenty of poggies in front of Wickford Harbor, still there and on top. Right next to where the cars are off loaded in Quonsett. Caught some blues for fun in the area as well. Went to the T dock off Prudence and live lined but nothing. then chunked and bounced off bottom...nothing. Trolled with red tubes at about 25-30'....nothing nothing nothing. More live lining and chunking at the cable....dittoooooo nothing. Big strike out day, but better then work. Even tried infront of Bristol fHarbor.....notta.
Oh well guess you got'em all.

You sure you're fishing the same waters as me? Is there a nuclear plant near that spot???????

damn those are nice, how do they pull when they fight?
The bigger fish will have a big 1st run and then when they see the boat for the 1st time will have a 2nd burst, but then come right in as the basicly fight to the death. The 25-30lb fish will have a few good runs.. a 25lb fish will give you more of a overall fight then a 40-50lb fish.

OK, who's going to clean the boat:zip:

This is from last night, fished from 5 - 8ish with two fish, then from 8 to 9 all hell broke loose as the tide switch and picked up. Big swells made it real intresting. I fished 3 guys on the boat last night and it there was a few times were we were all on dancing around the boat trying to keep from tangling up.
Defently one of the best nights this year #'s wise.
And yes, each guy kept there limit and the rest of the fish went back to fight another day
