FishBones No More

nice ride willy, i used to deck on a 31 that was a 6 pack dive boat. actually liked the layout of the 28 better, cockpit seemed bigger because of the raised engine boxes on the 31. as mj mentioned, big plus having the tanks replaced already.

congrats, just don't forget your buds with monkey boats

Willy, I knew she was coming from your email.. She's a beauty for sure. I've always loved the Bertrams..They just say elegance. As a matter of fact, the only thing I see missing from yours (and I'm sure it will be installed soon enough) is the stripper pole. I mean.....really... ya gotta have the basic necessities.

So, when are we going out? :hide:

Thanks guys for all the kind words, all of you fellows are welcome anytime. but i think you already know that.
I am making arrangements to go to Cape May, about three hours by car and to meet the previous owner and take possession of the Bert.
Will have I believe about a six hour run to get her up to my home waters.
Only real concerns are fuel related.
The fellow just used her basically as a condo on the water. The two forty gallon saddle tanks were filled last season and not used.
The main 165 tank is from May this season and he does not use any fuel treatment. It is about half full.
Boat has run four times the past two weeks, three times with either me or the surveyor and everything ran great off the main tank. I ran the boat with him at sea for about an hour and a half.
Surveyor for about half an hour.

I for one have had pretty good luck with fuel, but you might want to bring a few extra filters with you, and make sure that the water separator is working good! This new gas loves to absorb water, especially in a boat that lives in the water! Add some sta-bil any way to help it go thur, I run it a few times a season just to help it stay clean.

:hi:I was gonna ask you, If you saw a poor boy with indiana plated in the parking lot holding a snoopy jr fishing pole, would he get to go ondabote?

Thanks Bob, give you a call later

And Smoke a Po Boy is a sandwich, someone from the V20 Site is a friend and always welcome.

It may have been a floating condo but it looks set up well for fishing. The tuna bite is on! Now you just need to drop a couple grand on offshore trolling gear!

Thanks all you fella's.

Ken looks like Monmouth Cove Marina

Rob she has got some gear but I don't have the rods needed for that stuff.

And Seacrets how the heck you doing man, long time no see or hear brother.

WOW man, what a classic boat. Very, very nice ride you have there. One of the best. You sure do have an eye for stipper boats my friend. That one will hold a 6-pack. I am available for 1st mate duties any time. Might have to get Draglink up there with his heram [sp]!

Congratulations....solid trade!
