Hey Whatknot does this look right?

It makes sense but how do you wire to the key starter and do you connect the neg from the engine to the neg bus bar?

In this schematic the engine negs are connected by a busbar but is not really needed.
My busbars are for accessories and I used #8 MARINE (tinned) wire. Run the neg from the house battery. I will warn ya about Blue sea systems diagrams. Although they are correct, sometimes an inconsistant layout can get you confused.

The key starter is optional and not required. ONLY the ground which went right to my battery.

Throw that away.
Use the regular manual battery switch for two batteries (off, batt 1, batt 2, all).
The relay and use of an electrical (not mechanical switch) is more crap to corrode and fail.

Oh, also hook up the (auto) bilge pump to the same terminals the engine is connected to, fused of coarse.

key switch and gauge power supply usually supplied thru the engine harness and is independant of the boat harness, it keeps from High load sources from interfearing with the engine controlls during start up. I'd have to agree about the blue sea system, while it is nice, its a little more complicated than needed. I wired up mine with two batteries connected thru a standard 1 all 2 off switch. I did wire my bilge pump auto switch straight to battery 1, so incase I leave the boat in the water, or if I have an electrical issue, the auto float switch is wired in the most direct, simplest way, independant of the rest of the system

I went ahead and laid out a diagram for you. If this .jpg doesn't print well I can send you a pdf. Make sure you get at least the busbar with 10 poles for attaching accessories. I love this set up. Set it and forget it.

I usually trailer the hull to the Skull Creel boat ramp that is right after you cross the bridge to Hilton head island. From there it's just a couple of miles to the port royal sound. I fish the entrance in about 60 feet of water for cobia. Beaufort is cobia capital round here. I fish the entrance because you can get a jump on them coming into the Broad River and there's nobody there.

Menhaden under balloons, chum like crazy, drink import beer and listen to Pantara. Cobia love that band and will come up for a listen and a beer. At this point I put my mask and fins on and gaff 'em.

So then you run your accessories from the busbars to the Switch/fuse panel on the dash...right? Pork Chops of the sea love Pantara...interesting! Diagram printed great, thanks for taking the time. I think simple will be better.

Charging

Did you read how this system works? Yes, I agree that simple is better. For me this made to much sense not to use. I've had the single bat switch deal all my life. But after reading how BlueSea handles the charge and discharge I couldn't be without it. With a standard switch, I never really new how my bats were charging and discharging. With this system the switch stays in the "on" position all the time and the ACR directs the current were it's needed. You only use the all position if you don't have the juice to crank.

Busbars

Yes, mount the busbars close to the switch panel. You will use mostly grounds to the busbar from your accessories and your positives run directly to the weatherdeck fused switch panel. That is one cool unit. I love the LED backlit feature that indicates on and off.

Thanks for the diagram and advice, i'm going to get the goods tonight and start after the new fuel tank is installed. Let me know when you head to Skull, I'd be glad to buy the beer and gas.....never fished that far north.
