I played Hookey today (w/ pics!)

First trip of the season was great!!! (Though it was in my buddy's boat rather than the V20) I'll let the pictures tell the story:

Leaving the port of Trinidad California. Adam is baiting a crab pot (dungeness crab season is open until 8/1)

Pretty marginal ocean conditions ;D This is ~ 17 miles north of where we started. Dean is cranking one in.

The TunaHead himself with a nice lingcod. These are NOT members of the cod family. Have no idea why they are so named...

Believe it or not,
I didn't have any sushi on this trip.

The guys I traveled with had an aversion to local cuisine.
I on the other hand always travel with the intent of trying everything that is local. You can always get better if you get sick.

The locals always try to make me sick, but no way,
I have even had bollas de toro in Venezuela.
I always explain aftward, both of my grandfathers were
Polish butchers, so there is not much that my parents have not made me eat.
