"Do I want a wood boat test".

You turn the water in your shower on cold and let in run. Then you stand under the cold water ripping up 100 dollar bills. If you find this enjoyable then you are ready to buy a wood boat.

FGH - F'in Greenhorn.
CA - Candy Arse
LD - Referring to a limp action fishing rod, Limp (Richard)
OR Low Definition speaking of one without a clear understanding.
NMZ- No Motor Zone
POS - Piece of Sh/t
USCG - United States Coast Guard
SNAFU- Things don't always go as planned. It must be a real bad day on the water to use this one.
Lots of lingo to learn.
VHF = Boaters friend because Channel 16 = USCG

Cause when a FGH takes his BOAT out and a SNAFU occurs, one call on the VHF and the USCG can pluck your CA from the big drink. EPIRB makes it happen a lot faster. AMF.

Reel, those are "stick boats" you speak of, they have to hang the bed sheets out to qualify as a blow boat. BTW they call our boats smut buckets

in the early sixties i believe that the mfg boat stood for multi-layer fiberglass.
back then and a little earlier old school yachtsmen said if god wanted boats made out of fiberglass he would have made fiberglass trees!
:head:

NFG - No F'n Good... usually used in the company of AFU and POS
Often used refering to trailer brakes, trailer lights, and the level-wind reel that you haven't cleaned since last spring.

Lubber Line -the fixed ship's heading line on the compass
Lubber (as in landlubber) - the guy that is crying between pukes that he wants to go in when its 2 ft or less and everyone else is catching fish

la-di-da boat - any boat with carpet and more cup holders than rod holders

PWC - floating dirt bikes that go a mile out of their way to come do a circle around you and the spot where you WERE catcking weakfish.

What's the difference between a Hoover and a PWC?
