Totally agree Phat... This one is a killer. Biggest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded. Cat 5 with winds @ 185mph right now. NOT to be taken lightly. Batten down the hatches boys, she's fixin to blow. :head:

making early plans now. Getting a couple boats finished up and out of the shop, going to pack the rest in place. The house is in pretty good shape, we'll probably ride it out here(41 ft above sea level). Trying to make my mind up about going to Sneads Ferry(3 ft above sea level), I'll make that call Friday. Got the Mckee and about $1000 in lumber sitting on the ground in the back yard that I don't want to float away. I was supposed to go on a fishing tournament (Outdoor Dream Foundation) with Kendall Saturday, I figure if I need to go to NC, its going to be too windy to fish down here anyway

I've heard a lot of people joking about it already. :head: people saying they are going to stay and that type of thing. is that natural selection? This thing looks NASTY. Stay safe guys and gals!!

I saw some video of this monster in the tropics. guys, this looks bad. I think if you have the option to go, then go. not sure where to but man, this thing looks crazy.

Got the shop squared away, gonna go over my spare trailer and head up to Sneads Ferry Friday, hope to be back Saturday night. Winds arent supposed to get here till Monday, I'll make the final call to leave or stay Saturday night.

We're bugging out Saturday or Sunday, heading due west as far as necessary. The island thought that Matthew was bad, this one has the potential to make that look timid. We're packing up everything we can this time -- it's that bad looking. Only good thing I have to say is that we're thawing some really good steaks and will be eating well the next few nights. We lost a lot of good meat last year and I'm not gonna let that happen again!

Cheers, gentlemen! Everyone stay safe.

Prayers to everyone effected by the storm(s). (Looks like Jose is following right in Irma's footsteps). We could be in for a double header. Be safe everyone.

Ferm, get out of there! If you are headed North, youre welcome to drop your stuff of at my shop. Same goes for all you Florida guys

My father's on the gulf side in North Port. He's battened down the hatches and that's about all he could do.

anyone headed North to evacuate, Ive got outside storage available at my shop. There are no rooms available in the I 95 corridor till Raleigh, I would guess theres room available in the Charleston area due to people leaving last week

You've got to watch out for a wobble. In 2004 I was living in Clearwater and the forecast track for Charley was directly across the top of my house for days as a direct hit. In the last few hours before landfall it wobbled and beat the hell out of Ft Myers/Port Charlotte area who thought they would be in the clear.

Praying for y'all down there.
