Lure storage

Franco

God
My second project today was this storage crate for my trolling lures, I carry as many as 40 trolling lures at a time ( Stretch 25's, Trolling s p o o n s, offshore stuff, etc) I got some PVC pipe 1 1/2" & 2" and cut it in 10" pieces, I need a some more to fill out the crate. Easy to carry, hard to tip and easy ti rinse off.

Maybe, I didn't see it. I started with a bucket but it worked like crap because it's tapered. I had the crate lying around and it worked out great. I have a Magma cutting board that is hinged, I think I may attach it to the top and get double duty!

Ahhh PVC & milk crates, building blocks of the universe. Franco, you can also lay a bead of PVC glue down the outside edge and bond another to it. After you get two to bond the lay a third one where you have two edges to bond on & so on. Put on as many tubes as you want & it will be freestanding. Ive also mixed different lengths to accommodate different length plugs. when you get back from fishing just hose off and air dry.

I have a very similar setup in my kayak Franco. I also made a lid for mine by cutting the bottom of a second crate on a table saw (you know, the bottom of another that allows them to stack on top of each other). I then drilled three holes and used plastic wire ties to make a hinge on one side. A small bungie to hold down and you're good to go. Quick washdown of all the plugs like others mentioned. ;) Nice, quick, easy. Less is more. 8)
